Getting that idea out of my head

While browsing Pinterest (the time black hole) I saw a low poly art picture and I knew I wanted to see if I could replicate this on fabric. After many attempts, I found a way to that work for me and developed a technique between paper piecing and appliqué. I still have to sew the pieces together but I really like it!!! For my experimentation, I used someone else art. Sadly I was not able to find the name of the artist.

And this is my result

I was also able to finish my yellow scrappy butterfly :)

  4. Nice fox. I kept thinking it was a 3-d mask as I looked at the thumbnail on the linky party sites. Wonderful butterfly also.

  13. Both of these pieces are great! I think it's great you created the fox just from looking at a picture - that is truly creative. The butterfly is my favorite, I love all that low volume in the background. Thanks so much for sharing this on MCM!

  14. Your finished butterflies (I also saw the red one) are simply gorgeous. And this fox is in the same league. I like the symmetry of the pieces. And the colors. Beautiful!
